P2P (Peer-to-Peer) on the Macintosh Computer

This website was created to help new users navigate their way amongst the many Peer-to-Peer clients available on the Macintosh.

A very common question from users -- especially those new to the Mac platform -- is "Which P2P client should I use?". In general, there is no one easy answer... and the scene is constantly changing. This document will help to lead you in the right direction. All clients listed on this site are for Mac OS X unless otherwise noted.

Peer-to-Peer technology is an interesting part of recent internet history and will redefine laws and consumer rights over the next few years.

This site does not condone software or music piracy and is provided as an informational page -- especially for new or prospective Mac users platform -- to evalute the options available on the Macintosh platform

Use the Site Navigation guide on your left to read about the various networks. We recommend starting with "History of P2P". Recommended clients are noted in the individual pages.
